Objectives

·      Read, evaluate, and discuss Holocaust and Genocide related literature  

·      Begin to develop an understanding of the effects of racism and Anti-Semitism 

·      Gain awareness of the existence of genocide today  

·      Ask and discuss difficult questions about intolerance and inequality 

·      Question the responsibility of individuals to help sustain civil rights 

·      Fulfill their commitment to community service (a requirement at City High)

·      Write dialogue journals, responses, letters, and various other forms of written work  

·      Expand on their individual research and technology skills 

·      Produce multimedia and multimodal artifacts that bring awareness to such issues
